Public Hearing: Resolution TLS 23-29A to Consider Adoption of an Amendment to Douglas County Code 17.04.020 Exempt Segregation-Applicability.

The public hearing will start at 9:00 AM for the purpose of considering the adoption of amendments to Douglas County Code title 17.04.020 (3) titled Applicability which if adopted would reduce the minimum lot size for exempt segregations from 20 acres to 5 acres and impose a requirement to obtain a certificate of exemption prior to filing the exempt segregation with the Assessor. Similar amendments were adopted as interim controls on August 23, 2022.

The Planning Commission has recommended the amendments be adopted as presented. A Determination of Non-significance has been issued for the proposals in accordance with the State Environmental Policy Act.  Department of Commerce has completed the 60 day review.

The Board will consider the recommendation and take action to adopt, modify, or not adopt the amendment.
